Oakwood Properties Limited is an active member of the community who provides sponsorship and support to many local and national organisations. Local groups such as the Dunedin Art School, the Urban Dream Brokerage initiative, The Precinct and various local sports clubs have partnered up with Oakwood for events and fundraising campaigns.
Alongside supporting charities like the Ronald McDonald House, Oakwood Properties sponsors Dunedin's Vogel Street Party that has helped celebrate and launch the revitalised warehouse precinct. Oakwood also backed Dunedin Street Art who brought fresh and exciting art work to various parts of the city. We are also a proud sponsor of the Oakwood Properties Earthquake Strengthening Award at Dunedin’s Heritage and Reuse Awards each year.
Oakwood Properties Ltd has also been on the receiving end of numerous awards for our property work. In 2017 Blackwells Holden and Mazda won the Gold Award at the New Zealand Commercial Project Awards in the retail category. For the rebuild of the Carlton Hotel in Christchurch we received the Premier Award for Commercial Building Excellence from the New Zealand Building Association. We were also named an Urban Hero at the 2015 Dunedin Heritage Awards.
